Recommend an Album- August - Van Hunt

I'm recommending Van Hunts latest Album - On the Jungle Floor

A mixture of Genres tinged with music like Prince, Lenny Kravitz and Curtis Mayfield including a song with Nikka Costa.

You should buy this now!

I recommend Zero 7's The Garden. This cd arrived with little fanfare in May but its gorgeous like their first 2 efforts. They brought in some new vocalists like Jose Gonzalez who sounds wonderful on "Future". There are lush arrangements and harmonies aplenty.

That and the Brand New Heavies' new album are tops on my wish list.

I loved simple things, liked When It Falls. I hear this one is faster-paced.

Sosgemini turned me on to the original by Cree Summer and Lenny Kravitz. It's pretty good also.

That's all? What about "If I Take You Home (Upon...)"? "The Thrill of This Love"? That CD is hot! I think my favorite is "At the End of a Slow Dance," but there are plenty of great songs.

When i first heard it i was like..WTF...theres too much here but then it all makes sense once you hear it a couple of times. You gotta admire the way he didn't just replicate the debut. Jungle floor sounds totally different.

I got the Van Hunt album for the amazing price of 0.99 pence! Ha! Hope it arrives soon.

Anyway, I recomment:

Just great songs (like, GREAT songs) with a wonderful jazzy-poppy sound that is not too light either.

I'm a Van fan too.

Especially feeling... If I Take You Home, & At the End of a Slow Dance.

His lyrics are more clever than the average R&B singer and his basslines keep moving.
We all want the stuff that's found in our wildest dreams.

Led Zeps "Houses of the Holy".
thumbs up!
Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
woot!
