Pearl Jam

Has anyone noticed that Eddie Vedder's writing style holds a lot of Prince-esque undertones. Mr. Vedder has always had a unique style and I believe many prince fans would be interested in many of his songs. He is a story teller. Who does that sound like?
Also, Pearl Jam's fan base is as loyal as we are for The Kid. Anyone out there who has seen a PJ show would be able to see the similarities.
I welcone your comments. I am not comparing the two, just letting Prince fans know that other artists in other genres have done well following our guys game plan for good music and fan loyalty.

Tora

I have all of Pearl Jam's studio albums but I've never seen them live. So I guess that makes me quasi-loyal.

Tora, If you have every studio alblum you ARE the most loyal of fans!
Any comment on the similarities (no way I spelled that right) between Eddie and Prince's writing styles? I am very interested in Prince fans opinion on the subject but there are not too many of us out there.

pkidwell

i have always liked them but then when i saw them live, they quickly became one of my favorite bands.....but i also noticed a lot of drunk frat boys pumping their fists to every song.....kind of wierd but perhaps they were leftover from the days where Pearl Jam ruled MTV
