"I'm Gonna Find Another You"

Straight from the country song title handbook.

One step away from "The Last Word In Lonesome Is 'Me'"

Billboard.com article...

Mayer Steeped In Soul On 'Continuum'
July 17, 2006, 4:20 PM ET
Jonathan Cohen, N.Y.
John Mayer goes heavy on his soulful side on his new studio album, "Continuum," due Sept. 12 via Columbia. The album was recorded in multiple sessions over the past year with the help of producer Steve Jordan, who also serves as the drummer in Mayer's trio with bassist Pino Palladino.

First single "Waiting for the World To Change" is off to a sizzling start at radio and is No. 3 this week on Billboard Radio Monitor's triple-A chart.

"This one is a reflection of where I am and where I think I'll be also," Mayer tells Billboard in an interview to be published in this Friday's issue of the magazine. "This record is mood and soul music and blues music; these things don't go anywhere for me. So hopefully, there's a little bit of that mentality, a little bit of that essence that will staple the songs into whatever time I find myself in."

Tracks include "Vultures" and "Gravity," which appeared on the John Mayer Trio's 2005 live album "Try!," plus a cover of Jimi Hendrix's "Bold As Love."

"Continuum" is the follow-up to 2003's "Heavier Things," which has sold 2.7 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Its multiformat hit "Daughters" won Mayer the best male pop vocal performance award as well as song of the year honors at the 2004 Grammys.

Mayer will begin a co-headlining tour with Sheryl Crow Aug. 24 outside Pittsburgh.[u]

hmm.. well.. I honestly have liked everything he has done... the first album is a little poppy, and his second has its moments also.. his more bluesy roots show his talent most..
so having said that.. I would recomend

John Mayer Trio - Try! (its a live disk.. very bluesy, great guitar work)

His new single Waiting For The World To Change..

His version of Kid A (radiohead song).. thought it was interesting approach to actually hear the lyrics instead of second guessing them.. a nice little cover.

and

Heavier Things - Thats his second disk.. it took me about a year to warm up to it, but enjoyed it for what its worth.. album hightlights : Clariy, Bigger Than My Body, Come Back To Bed, Home Life & Wheel
