Ok, well, this is refreshing! Yes, the same producers who did Ne Yo, produced this as well.

Maybe he will get airplay on the mainstream stations?...probably not, but one can hope. The youngsters will just put him in the same category as they do Prince.

I appreciate Lionel and his music but this sounds like a age reversal it lacks ingredients from a seasoned artist and maturity.

I heard this song on the radio on Friday and I was surprised. I thought it sounded alright. It didn't sound like a typical LR song. I'd be a liar if I didn't say that it kinda irked me that Lionel was getting airplay but a song like Black Sweat couldn't. Made me wonder what would it take to get Prince on the radio again. Does he really have to have a "hot" producer on his next album for this to happen? In any event, good for Lionel to have something new out on the scene.

Not feeling this track, and I love Lionel, but its just his lack of involvement with the song that just makes me feel anyone could have done it. I really expect more from Lionel then just trying to be hip. Also PRINCE will never do this, I think the day we see Prince allowing a Producer in will be the end of the world.

I don't like this song.It sounds like 90% of the stuff you hear on the radio these days....midtempo R&B with a hip-hop sound.Commercially,it'll probably be his biggest hit in years,though.

(see #92). Unheard of for a 57 (or however old he is) year old these days. Glad to see him up there again , but mad he sold himself out with a "today" sounding same old bland R&B formula tune.

that's EXACTLY what I thought when I heard this song. I like this one better though than " my name is charlie" I was sooo disappointed in Charlie for that one, BUT Lionel was already POP so this isn't such a departure.

I like it though, it's sounding like a hit.

The bottom line, as Prince once stated, this is a producer, (not artist) driven industry and Lionel is just trying to get a few more hits, nothing wrong with it.

The last true Lionel Richie album was, Louder Than Words - which had the Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis single - Don't Wanna Lose You. The album wasn't a commercial success but it was a Lionel Richie type album and very well received by his fans. I think Ordinary Girl should have been a bigger hit...
