They just started airing this in Germany a few weeks ago, but I never paid attention to it as I'm not into the whole Rhianna wave...but...I just watched her video in its' entirety for the second time and just thought: 'how old is she?? Isn't this rather mature territory for a girl under 21 to be exploring via the MTV audience?'. I understand the the premise of the song being the usual young angst about love, being unfaithful to a boyfriend, etc., etc. But in this video her "lover" (ie, non boyfriend) is shown laying her out across a piano, and there's also a shot of them post-coitus, where even though she sits on the edge of the bed fully clothed, he lies sleeping (obviously nude), peacefully in the "afterglow", while she she's guilt ridden and agonizing over her infidelitous behavior. In an adult setting these are hardly themes that would make me bat an eye...goodness knows I've seen movies like "Unfaitful" with Diane Lane and Olivier Martinez and have totally eaten them up, but is Rhianna even 18 yet? And the lover in question that she's having the "affair" with, appears to be a few years past 21 if you get my drift.

I love the murderer line.

Most people are just bragging about cheating and saying how bad they feel.

Too direct. She's figurative, with the murder line.

And it makes me totally feel the pain of the boyfriend who senses his woman is cheating and it's just killing his spirit in side.

What I love most about this song ...is the complexity of her feelings ...she's visually seeing the pain on her man's face everyday as she leaves to creep, but she longs to to it anyway.

I really like this song.

haha this is the worst and best song of summer.it trips me out its such a big hit. but the bad vocals,the dramatic lyrics,the cheesy video,the drama strings in the track...they all just work!

OMG, I have no interest in this chic so wasn't going to bother with the thread but then decided to take a peak to see what the rant was about.

I've never seen the video but heard the song yesterday on a road trip and trying to find something decent on the radio. As soon as I heard this trash I turned the radio completely off but my friend made me turn it back on because he wanted to know how the song ended. When I realized she was saying I don't want to be a murderer I fell OUT! Not only are the lyrics HORRIBLE but her voice is God-awful. She sounds like a kid. If you don’t want to do it anymore (be unfaithful) then just stop doing it you non-singing miserable wench.

It wasn't the song that caught my attention at all. I still probably wouldn't be able to recognize it if I heard it on the radio.

I'm speaking specifically about the video images accompanying the song via music video. And watching that GROWN ass (but handsome) long haired piano player LAYING HER OUT on that piano (and ladies, you KNOW what I mean when I say the man was laying her down and about to lay her OUT) during rehearsal. They're about to do the horizontal mambo. If she was older, again, it wouldn't have phased me in the least. I've seen all the movies; that's grown folks' stuff and this is what happens from time to time. But at 17? 18? I don't want to see her in a black cabaret/cocktail dress being laid out in a rehearsal venue by one of her work collegues, who is clearly way older than she is. Hell, I'm around musicians all the damned time and THAT's even a little far out of a scenario for the ADULT artists I know, let alone some teenage girl who probably can't even SPELL "Kegel", or knows what she's talking about enough to portray it in a music video scenario like THIS .
