Did You Ever Get Stuck on a Certain Song.... and just could not stop listening to it, you had to hear it not once but several times? I find myself doing that with different songs, and it is constantly changing. There are some songs that just make you feel so good and/or happy when you hear them, you just have to hear it over and over again. It's like an addiction or something. [Edited 7/15/06 22:06pm] RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Yes. Thems called crack-tracks.
[Edited 7/15/06 22:06pm] Down side is that the novelty usually wears off quickly. Why do you like playing around with my narrow scope of reality? - Stupify

My best friend really looks down on this so I don't play him songs more than once.
But I'm addicted to crack-tracks. Actually I do this when I want to learn the verse lyrics too.

Glad you bought this up. Made me prove my own theory wrong.
"Lost in You" That Garth Gains track was probably the worst of my crack tracks. I played it so much(secretly) that I couldn't hear it again. My old theory was that once you've milked all the listening out of it, it can never regain the crack appeal again. I was wrong. Listening now. As far as "pretty songs" go...it's still way up there. I've been playing "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" by Elton John straight for the last hour, and each time it's more beautiful. I love this song! [Edited 7/16/06 4:02am]

The last time someone got me addicted was Tom Ze's Vibracao da Carne. I tried to learn the lyrics even though I don't speak Portuguese, but the language is so beautiful and the rhythm so...addictive That guy should be on the pop charts, not that watered-down Will.i.am-produced Sergio Mendes release.

[Edited 7/15/06 22:06pm] All. The. Time. It's common for me to have a "song of the day" in my head. I playfully annoy my friends sometimes.

I went to see Depeche Mode with my sister in December and got stuck on "Macro". I had never paid attention to it until I saw the show- I must have played that song on repeat for like, 2 weeks- very loudly. Even SHE got sick of it.

@ "crack tracks"
I last did that with "Love" On a slightly different note, I once had "Everybody Was Kung-foo Fighting" stuck in my head for over a week. That was miserable. I'm firmly planted in denial
