I tracked down a European release of Left and Right so I could get a version without Methodman and Redman yelling/rapping in the middle. They ruined the flow.

I have the single which does NOT contain them. Much better song.

Okayplayer uploaded a couple of these, because I have 'em: Africa and Everybody Loves the Sunshine.

Africa, beautiful as it is, sounds like a demo. I prefer it to the Voodoo version, though. As I don't hop over there too often, it's possible the site uploaded all those tracks and that the "sessions" cd is just a burn of 'em.

Soundboard like a live concert? I think it's studio outtakes.

It is - mostly - studio outtakes. I have an early version of Voodoo, which appeared about a month before the official album, and it's a slightly different mix to the commercially available release.

So many cover grooves on this!

Songs are similar to "Feel Like Making Love" on Voodoo... hard thwappy drums and sparse keys and mumbly D mushy

Actually it just sounds like they finished listening to some Dilla beattapes, on most of it.

I've heard most of these, many are outakes/jam grooves from the voodoo sessions...(i got many of em on okayplayer and a few years back)... also a few are from an interview D did where he starts playing a few tunes (Africa & Spanish Joint) accapella on piano from the then forthcoming Voodoo record. For me these two spontaneous playings of Africa & Spanish Joint are great examples of the natural raw/rare talent D has. I love these versions. I actually love both versions of both tracks (the interview versions AND the studio album versions.) They are my favorite two tunes on Voodoo in fact.

I could be wrong but i thought the 'EveryBody Loves The Sunshine' cover was officially released as a b-side track of one of the singles...maybe an import...i think i have it somewhere...again i could be wrong and maybe i got this from the web too.
