That's kinda hard because all of his 70's prime albums were constantly funky, but Innervisions would probably be my vote as his fonkiest and jazziest too...even though Songs In The Key Of Life is my favorite album!

As an owner of every cd Stevie has done, it's all funky and soulful. Love songs to die for but start with Innervisions and then buy everything.

eek

That's a tough question. There's something funky on all of the Big 5. Music of My Mind with "Love Having You Around" and "Keep On Running"? Talking Book with "Maybe Your Baby" and "Superstition"? Innervisions with "Too High" and "Higher Ground"? FFF with "You Haven't Done Nothin'" and "Boogie On Reggae Woman"? SITKOL with "All Day Sucker" and "I Wish"? Tough call.

More soulful than FUNK in my book.

It can't be both? I mean, is there anybody who would say, for instance, "Maybe Your Baby" isn't funky? What about "Tell Me Something Good"?

eek confuse disbelief

AFAIC, it can't be funky if it doesn't have soul.

Funk is indeed a feeling .
But in this context , the sound is unmissable . They can't be seperated .
