How was this thread not started by thesexofit? This was like my senior year in high school. Michael Bivins thought he was gonna start a revolution with BBD, BIIM and ABC. Didn't happen, but it was fun for a bit. I think I liked Playground more, but this one was fun.

I have the "Playground" cassingle, but I like this song more. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

yeah...Playground was my little jam.
I have to admit to like all the sucky music from the 90's (87-93)....my fav time in r&b.

I will always love this song! So, so perfect! Hilarious lyrics, great backing vocals by Boyz II Men (their first on wax), Biv on the toilet, Dallas Austin pre-arrest, and, of course, the fabulous ending! What's not to like?
That was actually a pretty good record. "My World," "Little Soldiers," "Spydermann" were the jams. Furthermore, I am unashamed to admit that their version of "Jealous Girl" is infinitely better than New Edition's... if only for Dave's part ("Hey girl, why you so jealous?"). I haven't seen this video in years! I remember when Red & Mark from ABC moved to my neighborhood when ABC was big. Their house was the neighborhood hotspot.
lol....I remember the "East Coast Family".....

We got SECOND place @ the Cloverdale Citrus Fair's talent show the year this song came out. You should have seen my two girlfriends and I breaking it down, flapping our elbows and knees to the beginning of the song. I was eight or nine. Oh shit, my hat done fell off

wasn't there another band called the Boys or something like that.....i couldn't find their stuff but i thought they had a few cheesy hits like this one

Even though they were the same song, I also liked "Playground" alot.
"It's the Miz-zark, chillin' in the piz-ark/ I gotta break because my mama said be home by diz-zark..." Years before Snoop/Dre/Death Row put all that "iz" into rap slang... -Tom

Cheesy? The Boys? Come on! The Boys were the shit! Their first #1, "Dial My Heart" (love this video) http://www.youtube.com/wa...qvXcR5aoVY I wish I could find the videos to "Crazy" (their second #1, a spoof of "Every Little Step," "Vogue," "Bad," and "Faith") and "Thanx 4 the Funk." Love those boys! "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

I love this song among with Playground and their New Edition cover called Jealous Girl. They disappeared quickly after 1991, and I heard that they made a new album.

You said everything I wanted to say, Michael Bivins had Black music on lock for a good minute back then. [Edited 7/10/06 17:47pm]

I guess there weren't enough beats to fit the Whyte Guyz in there, huh? Then M.C. Brains came along and stole their spot. Speaking of the East Coast Family, I'm still a little mad we didn't get albums from 10 Ten and Lady V. At least we got "1-4-All-4-1." Boyz II Men's verse is some of their finest work. To me, Another Bad Creation was just what their name suggests: another bad creation. "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

That's just a parody waiting to happen. minneapolisgenius said: To me, Another Bad Creation was just what their name suggests: another bad creation.
Yeah, they were a creation (I mistyped "cretin" the first go-around ), but they were fun to me.

They were originally called Sudden Impact. They're in the "Motownphilly" video and they actually sing in "1-4-All-4-1." IIRC, their line is, "I can feel what's going on. All for me, all for you." I sorta remember them in the Motownphilly video, but I don't know no 1-4-All-4-1 song. That's too much number-to-letter for me to keep up with.
