B'Day vs Sexyback ?

Beyonce is less than thrilled with her Bosses at Sony BMG for scheduling her upcoimg album's September 5 drop date so close to Justin Timberlakes's September 12 release. A source close to the Diva says that her team is concerned that the same fans who would buy her B'Day will be interested in his Sexyback.. They have a similar fan base and chart positions and sales will be affected by it. It will be more evident in Euroope as their singles will be released in the same week, meaning one will go to number one and one will go to numbert two the mole says... as reported by Kenya Hunt@metro.us

Which kinda reminds me of Gwen's Steffani's "Love Angel Music Baby"

I have an idea about how this can be resolved.

Every copy of both shitty albums get burned (read: destroyed), a few of the demos get wiped, and the blank discs get sent to third world countries for the starving children to feast on. Then the two artists follow suit - they both get burnt to a crisp (in an 'accidental' fire), they then get their memories wiped via a baseball bat and vice, and then their limbs get sent to third world countries for the famined.

There, the problem is solved.

is that title reminding ANYONE ELSE of "Lovesexy"?? Prince already did the double word contractionless shit 20 years ago. Come on now. He obviously couldn't choose which fake Lovesexy title to stick with.

Have you guys heard Justin's single? (Um, Go here if you haven't: http://www.justintimberlake.com/ )

It is hotter than a muthafucka. (and yes I do hear a hint of Prince. Too bad current Prince couldn't make this). Love his bass voice here. This is my new favorite song.

Now, I am a Beyonce fanatic,
but she doesn't create the songs that Justin does.
Admit that Cry Me a River was superb. And Sexy Back the single is so unique sounding.

It will HIT and B'Day (rumored to have been created in 3 weeks LOL) will be in the dust.

Sorry Beyonce. He will be #1 and she will suddenly feel like Ashanti.

It's OK, but those notes have been overused in techno 4 years now.

Also... Put on "Love" from '3121' right after listening 2 this, and there's no question that Prince still blows everyone away.

I mean, like it's cool and shit, but it ain't no Prince.

...and on that note...

I'm a say Peeeeaaaacccce.

The coolest thing about this track is what he's sayin'...

"I'm bringin' sexy back... them muthafuckas don't know how 2 act..."

'Cause none of the hip-hop or R&B acts today know jack about sexiness.

There... I said it.

So props 2 him 4 the clever slam against the blandness in today's R&B.

See, I don't regularly listen to techno...so I didn't know that was a trite beat. And his fans are prolly mostly pop so they will think it's some brilliant sh*t (as do I) lol

I like Love ....it's a close contest...but Justin has more swagger.

True, no one can touch the original funkster. But I give Justin credit for somewhat pulling it off. And for at least putting something out there different besides the some old pop/ hip hop crap out there now.

Hes succeeded on the org. Hes got people talking. What the last song thats had 4 threads devoted to it on here. Well besides a Madonna Song . lol

HoneyLove... I don't listen 2 techno either... it's just the melody of the vocals is the same as what the synth line 4 alot of Technoish stuff from the early '90s did.

...and NO... U don't like "Love"... U LOVE "Love". Stop playin'.

Ok, seriously, I just listened to this new Timberlake song (God, forgive me for my sins), and it is absolutely horrible. I can't believe I actually expected it to be half decent - or as decent as a Timberlake song can be. It's just so lifeless, so dull, so fake. It's fucking terrible.

What pisses me off even more is that I know it will still get huge amounts of play and become a big hit, whereas something like Black Sweat gets forgotten as quickly as it's released. Black Sweat (though not near Prince's best) urinates all over this shambles of a song.

God, I need to lay down. That was sooooo baaaaad. And that's not in a good way.

exactly, Beyonce is a bigger star than Justin by tenfold, Beyonce has a more insane audience of girls who will die for her, Justin doesn't have that the same audience that was there for him in 02 will not be there for him in 06, the audience for Beyonce in 03 is still here for her since she has been relevant in the music game all those times, while Justin finished his campaign with the weak ass single Senorita in late 03 and that was it from him on the music scene

Black Sweat should have been a little faster and a shorter intro. that said, this timberlake track tries really hard to be cool and retro, bu we all know he's not the real deal and its just posing.
