I used to sing it on the phone to my girlfriends when I was in junior high....one girl put her mom on the phone to listen, and Moms was kinda impressed too.... ....that of course was well before I started smoking, drinking....then yelling and screaming in the Army....totally damaged my voice.... ....STILL very into that song..... He was like a cock who thought the sun had risen to hear him crow.

Of course. But with as much airplay as it gets on 'Quiet Storm' shows it's beginning to wear out it's welcome. Much like 'Between The Sheets', which I wouldn't ever have to hear again in life.

but thats why I stopped listening to radio....besides the fact that its annoying....so my fave old school R&B jamz would never fade.... He was like a cock who thought the sun had risen to hear him crow.

I just heard that EWF will be touring.
If they're coming into Chicago, I'll be the first in line buying tickets. [Edited 7/9/06 3:28am]

One of my favorite EWF cuts, beautiful. I just love Philip's falsetto. It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

I agree with you.Radio stations have played these songs so much,I am tired of them. These days, when it comes to EW&F slow jams,I'd rather hear the less-played stuff like "Clover","Imagination" or "Could It Be Right".

You're late EW&F is playing Chicago on August 9 at the Charter One Pavilion at Northerly Island.I think tickets have already gone on sale. in other EW&F news, their hard-to-find 1975 movie 'That's The Way Of The World' will finally be released on DVD next Tuesday July 18:
