A good friend of mine just gave me tix to see Cherrelle and Alexander O'Neal in concert on Friday, 28 July at Trocaderos (the same club where Prince's former band members The Truth perform weekly). It's a great gift, as they were two of my fave 80s R&B performers. Now, I just hope they don't suck now.

You know, I actually started listening to them again in the past couple months. They've gotten a lot better, I think. They still play new crap, but they mix it in with a lot of good old school stuff. They had me jammin' to Little Walter just the other day.
