Great song indeed, but strangely enough, I like nearly every song on Like a Prayer better! Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

But Vogue is from I'm Breathless from the following year. Indeed, but there's no point comparing "Vogue" to the rest of I'm Breathless. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

You know, I realize I'm one of about 20 people on earth who really likes I'm Breathless. It's actually one of my favorite albums of hers.

I like about 4 songs on there, maybe 4. It's passable as a soundtrack, and it is Madonna, so I have a soft spot for it. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! It's got her best vocals of any recording, Evita and Ray of Light be damned. No other pop diva could have pulled that off with a multi platinum track record...Mariah, Britney, Whitney, Cher, JLo have never done ANYTHING like it. It truly makes her the renassaince woman of the bunch. The only dud is "Cry Baby." The first three tracks are KILLER. I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

I'm Breathless is the best.
But Vogue is what we're talking about.

Ahh, 1990 Madonna. The woman was damn near untouchable.

The only reason I kept this(Im Breathless) cd for a while is because in one of the songs theres a disney theme sample.
I thought that was a pretty cool nod to the studio. The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.

Now I'm Following You (Part II) has part of that theme because Dick Tracy was a Disney film, but cost a shitload of money to film. That's why Warren Beatty is in the background counting out millions.

You're not alone,I like that album too It's not one of my favorites, but I appreciate the fact that she did something different. She ventured outside of her pop/dance sound and came up with an intriguing,Broadway-styled album. Her vocals on this album are superb. This project paved the way for 'Evita'.

Did you guys know that "Vogue" was actually planned as a B-side? It was just a throwaway dance track that Madonna was planning to use as the B-side to the "Keep It Together" single. But a Warner exec heard it and said "This could be a hit!" and demanded that Madonna save it for her next album. She released it as the first single from her 'I'm Breathless' album and it became one of her most successful singles.

I agree,"Cry Baby" is unforgivable my favorite songs are "Sooner Or Later","Something To Remember","Now I'm Following You (Part 2)" and of course,"Vogue".

Smart they released this as a single. Shame they weren't smart enough for Into the Groove. That's a Madonna staple that was never released as a single in the US and would have been most likely a #1 hit. It's her most played song on radio too.

I agree, but didn't she already have too many singles on the chart back then? In the summer of 1985,"Crazy For You" and "Dress You Up" were still on the charts,if I'm not mistaken.Perhaps Warners didn't want to flood the market by releasing "Into The Groove"? It made no difference anyway."Into The Groove" got MASSIVE airplay that summer, lol.
