Beyonce Knowles blames her beautiful looks for preventing people from seeing what a talented artist she really is.

The former Destiny's Child singer has enjoyed a flourishing solo career and has had movie success starring in films including the 'Pink Panther' - but she still yearns to be respected as an artist.

The 24-year-old says, "It's frustrating, because sometimes, when you are attractive, people don't acknowledge that you are talented as well."

"I mean, I'm a songwriter, I'm a producer, I have a strong voice, I'm a dynamic performer. Sometimes people forget that."

All in all, I would lay down money to actually see the transcript of the FULL interview that took place: it's no big secret that the newsline agencies always dissect these dialogues and pick the phrases that make the best soundbite and will garner them the most media attention. I see it time and time again when I watch full interviews, and then to see the soundbites that are published on the news wire the very next day ---it's usually incredibly manipulative on their behalf simply to stir controversy and public interest in their story.

Somehow, though, being the type of personality she is, I can't see her being ballsy enough to call FOX out in case they did try to present her comments out of context: this is the era of entertainers bowing down to playing it as safe as possible with the American media, lest they face the type of ostracization we saw some time back with acts like the Dixie Chicks

If by any really slim chance you are on the org, read this. When you're d@^n near naked everytime we see you on videos, The red carpet, Award shows, Concerts and even interviews, It's pretty tough to concentrate on your talents. You could look like Whoopi Goldberg and it wouldn't matter. Okay it would, But you get my point.

You do have to give it up to her for writing and producing unlike so many puppet ho's in the industry.

But learn some modesty (and some grammar) woman! I bet Jay puts it on you good tho.

She has a point. Is she to blame for the most part? Of course. But don't knock Beyonce's talent. Like she said, she's a solid songwriter, a solid producer, and a solid songstress. Her acting is average. Is she prolific or a genius? No. But you can't knock her talent unless you just don't like the chick. I also see nothing wrong in being highly confident at how good you look, if you got it, flaunt it. She has talent, I just think people either like her or hate her and/or she's overexposed to the public.
