Cute enough version. It was played out when I was a youngster. The Dionne Warwick original is even better. I had to pop in to mention her. razz

I had to pop in to say I actually like Naked Eyes' version better (sounds sacreligious).

Not sacreligious. I didn't know any better for a long while. It's still good, I just prefer the original.

If it is, put me in the sacrilege line! lol This is one of my favorite Bacharach/David songs.

Dionne owns basically all the other songs in the Bacharach songbook, except this one!

I didn't until about 15 years ago. shrug Dionne also has a song called Promises, Promises, but it's a different song entirely. lol

I wouldn't even say it's essential you must hear Dionne's version. Naked Eyes owns this one.

mad They're both worth hearing. It's been a long time since I saw the video for Naked Eyes' version, probably since it was first out. Great time trip. Thanks for posting it, Icicle!

While we're at it, this chick seems real damn excited to be performing the song: so excited she doesn't even uncross her arms:

Co-sign. biggrin Naked Eyes' cover version was built to be a 80's classic.
