PEARL JAM on VH1 Storytellers... Did anyone catch Pearl Jam on VH1 Storytellers? They were EXCELLENT! I didnt realize how educated and thought provoking Eddie Veder is. I will be purchasing their collection soon!
EXCELLENT show! I was moved that he said that he wrote "Alive" about himself and finding out as a teen that who he thought his dad was, really wasnt and that his biological dad had died. EXCELLENT SHOW!

They've been playing the video for their Storytellers performance of "World Wide Suicide" and it's been completely kicking my ass.
I need their new album. | |

Great band, i have always respected Eddie and his vision with that band, it has always been about the fans with them and the music. He avoids the spotlight and the trends and continues to his own thing whether they sell 10 million or 10,000 they have always stayed true, I would put them in a class of Rem in terms of respect and doing their own thing and not getting trendy. Also Pearl Jam is about one of five artists to survive the 90's. "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

I've never been a big fan of Pearl Jam, but I gained a lot of respect for Eddie Vedder when he performed with Johnny Marr and members of Radiohead as part of Neil Finn's temporary supergroup back in 2001.

I need their new album. The new album is one of the best CDs of the year, IMO. I like it better than anything they've done since Vitalogy. I'm the first mammal to wear pants.
