new tori cd update (just a small blurb)

this info is snatched from undented.com. they have a post from matt chamberlain's website which says that he has completed tracking tori’s new record. the message on his site says:

"Hello—-just finished tracking the new Tori Amos record out in Cornwall England. It was a really fun and intense 3 weeks of non-stop playing, eating, playing, sleeping and playing. All I can say is that it rocks!"

let's hope the "it rocks" bit means the record has a full band and builds from where venus and back/choirgirl left off!

its funny but when choirgirl came out i wasn't crazy about it. i figured she'd go where boys for pele was leading her but i was disappointed because it seemed like her own instrument was lost in the mix. then she toured for the record and i was really like, "what? stadiums? this is awful, i can't even hear her over the guitars and drums and bass."

when venus and back came out, i loved that. can't explain what happened. i still wasn't crazy about choirgirl but i loved to venus and back. now i look back at the plugged tour and think how incredible it was -- i just didn't know it at the time! and i love choirgirl now. its easily one of my favorites now.

The very same thing happened to me. In hindsight, I'm super pissed that I missed her at a general admission club show for the Plugged tour.

the ga show was not the show i was disappointed with. actually, the live band and tori as rock god thing went off well in the small setting. plus, we waited out all day (i'm talking from about 8am til showtime) and the five of us were directly in front of tori against the baracade to the stage. not to mention the new cd wasn't out yet and she was debuting new stuff.

no, it was the arena tour i was silly enough to have a problem with.
