Any Goapele fans at the Org? What do you guys think of her latest album "Change it All"? She reminds me of Donna Summer. Unlike Donna, Goapele deals with much more than ballads. I really liked her commentary on the lack of funding for education, music programs in schools and libraries.

I really like "First Love". I didn't care much for her voice on the first record. This record, the writing and production are much better. She's coming to my city soon. I'm debating on whether or not I'm going to go.

I am hoping that she tours Florida. If she does I may go.

she's cool...I saw her Floetry a few months back...she accidently disconnected her mic while singing shit was too funny...she handled it like a trooper though. I am not African. Africa is in me, but I cannot return.
I am not taína. Taíno is in me, but there is no way back. I am not european. Europe lives in me, but I have no home there. I am new. History made me. My first language was spanglish. And I am

Her 1st album was kinda saucified (weak) but Change it All is strong as hell. You can tell she put more thought into the lyrics this time around. Very underrated artist. Neo Soul on a whole...gets no respect. Living to die and I'll die to live again - 360 degrees - comprehend

She used to run the West coast operations for Wherehouse records Black Music division. I'm not sure exactly what she is up to these days.

No question he has met her. She was heavily involved over at EMI Black Music Division along with Kevin Black when they were in charge of promoting Emancipation back in 1997.
