Michael Jackson should have recorded Usher's "Yeah!" Let me suggest to you orgers (I think some of you will get a kick out of this idea) my wish that...
Michael Jackson should have recorded Usher's "Yeah." For the obvious reasons, it would have been a much better performed song. (Michael beats Usher anyday in my book.) I also imagine (being a Michael fan for at least 12 years now) that... The new lyrics to the song would have probably been the same, except perhaps a few changes would be needed. Mainly, instead of "shorty" Michael would say "Susie." Seeing as he loves that name lately. "Little Susie" "Blood On The Dance Floor" "Superfly Sister" [Lil' Jon:] Yeah, Ok! (MJ!) Lil' Jon! [Michael:] Yeah, yeah yeah, yeah yeah, Yeaah Yeah, yeah yeah, yeah yeah, Yeaah [Michael (Verse 1):] In the club with my brothers, tryin to get a little V-I, keep it down on the low key, (LOW KEY) cause you know how it feels. (HEY, HEY) I saw Susie she was checkin' up on me, from the game she was spittin' in my ear, thank that she knew me. (KNEW ME) So we decided to chill (OKAY) Conversation got heavy, she had me feelin' like she's ready to blow! (Watch Out!,oh, Watch Out!) She's sayin' come get me (come get me), So I got up and followed her to the floor, she said baby lets go, when I told her, I said [Michael (Chorus):] Yeah (yeah) Susie got down low, sayin come and get me Yeah (yeah) I got so caught up, I forgot she told me Yeah (yeah) her and my girl were the best of homies Yeah (yeah) Next thing I knew, she was all up on me screamin': Yeah, yeah yeah, yeah yeah, Yeaah Yeah, yeah yeah, yeah yeah, Yeaah [Michael (Verse 2):] So she's all up in my head now, got me thinkin' that it might be a good idea to take her with me, (WITH ME) She's ready to leave. (A LETS GO) But I gotta keep it real now, 'cause on a one-to-ten she's a certified twenty, but that just ain't me.(hey) Cause I don't know if I take that chance just where it's gonna lead, But what I do know is that the way she dance makes Susie alright with me. The way she gettin' low! I'm like yeah, just work that out for me. She asked for one more dance, and I'm like yeah How the hell am I supposed to leave And I said [Chorus] [Lil' Jon:] Ludaaaaa! [Ludacris (Verse 3):] Watch out! My outfit's ridiculous, In the club lookin' so conspicuous. And WOW! These women all on the prowl, If ya hold the head steady I'm a milk the cow. And forget about the game I'm spit the truth, I won't stop til I get em in their birthday suits. So gimmie the rhythm and it'll be off with their clothes, So bend over to the front and touch your toes. I left the Jag and I took the Rolls, If they ain't cuttin' then I put em on foot patrol. OWWW! How ya like me now, when my pinky's valued over three hundred thousand, Lets drank you the one to please, Ludacris fill cups like double d's. Me and Mike once more and we leaves em dead, we want a lady in the street but a freak in the bed to say. [Chorus] [Ludacris (Bridge):] Take that, and rewind it back, Lil' Jon got the beat to make your booty go (splat) Take that, rewind it back, Michael got the voice to make your booty go (splat) Take that, rewind it back, Ludacris got the flow to make your booty go (splat) Take that, rewind it back, Lil' Jon got the beat to make your booty go (splat)

I laugh because it's probably one of the few "crunk" songs I couldn't really get with.

No freaking waz! I hate that song! One of the worst things I' ve ever heard. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really donĀ“t like the idea that he could have it all."

I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

However, it was one of the radio's biggest played songs when it came out. To put it another way, if "Black Sweat" had gotten that kind of play, 3121 would still be number one on the charts today. (Or at least top ten.) Point being - I would have rather had Michael with that huge radio hit, then someone like Usher.

The song isn't musically good in the least ; I just find myself whistling it often and it's funny because of Lil' Jon's idiotically classic shouts + Luda's rap.

Luda's rap did make the song. My second wish behind Michael recording it, would have been for it to be a Ludacris song with Michael singing the hook.

No, he should have recorded Justin Timberlake's "Justified" album. Oh wait, he already did...it was called "Off The Wall".

That's true, but I'd say its beat is one of the catchier, more danceable god-awful crunk ones out there, watered-down, stupid lyrics notwithstanding. What's that one song where the dude's like, "Meet me at the CLUUUB.. it's goin' DOWWWN.. meet me at the MAAALL.. it's goin' DOWWWN...."? Now THAT song makes me feel physically ill.

Honestly, I HATED "Yeah!" when it came out, but I began to tolerate it after watching Will Smith's movie, Hitch.
The scene where Will is teaching the guy from King of Queens to dance to "Yeah!" is Priceless [Edited 7/2/06 13:30pm]

There's actually a song from several years ago that some people said Michael really should have recorded.I can't remember the artists' name, but the song is called "I'm Gonna Get Through This".It's a very MJ-sounding dance track.

that was Daniel Bedingfield and if Michael Jackson recorded "Yeah!" instead of Usher, I have a feeling the dancing in the video would b xactly the same. [Edited 7/3/06 8:50am] Listen to me on The House of Pop Culture podcast on itunes http://itunes.apple.com/u...d438631917
