Morrissey-"Ganglord" For anyone thats interested the B-side of the new Morrissey single, "The Youngest Was The Most Loved" is fantastic!
It's called "Ganglord" and begins with this creepy piano and fuzzy feedback before launching into what sounds like a mash up between Massive Attack and The Smiths "How Soon Is Now?". It has a dirty clubby feel to it! Morrissey's voice sounds twenty years young, and with a chorus of,"...and I'm turning to you to save me, save me, save me, save me", just leaves you breathless. Saw him perform this live recently and didn't think that the studio version would better it, but it did! Viva Mozza. "There is no such thing in life as normal..."

Thanks. I see there are 3 B-sides to this single spread over 2 CDs just like he did in You Have Killed Me.
I hate having to buy all those EPs/CD singles to get the B-sides.

Yay- the other tracks are great to- "If you don't like me, then don't look at me"
sounds like it came off "Vauxhall And I" and there is a cover of Magazine's "Song From Under The Floorboards"...so yes, buy it! "There is no such thing in life as normal..."

Ganglord was one of the highlights from the recent tour, as was his cracking version of the New York Dolls's Human Being, complete with raucous sax solo from Boz Boorer. It's also another incidence of Moz relegating great songs for B-sides - Lost, Jack the Ripper, Black Eyed Susan, Sunny, Nobody Loves Us, .... Symphonies ... [Edited 6/8/06 12:16pm] There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

Nobody Loves Us, Lost, Disappointed, Will Never Marry etc. A whole double album of B-sides would be fantastic! And yes, wasn't Human Being brilliant live- bless Boz, he blew me away- no pun intended! just cos I know you were wondering...
Last weekend I finally watched the last Morrissey Live DVD. (well, I was cleaning so I more 'listened' to it) Anyways, it made me SOOOO bummed that I missed that tour. What an AWESOME set list. So, that made me FINALLY open the 'new' CD and put it in. Again I was cleaning so I only partially paid attention, but I liked what I heard!
