Who's Better on Stage: Janet or Madonna

It also helps if you state reasons why.

That's okay, the governor and mayor (losers) of this thread decided it was not necessary, so don't worry about it.

Is for me. They're better on TV but for me show little major stage presence in the flesh.

i think they both do what they do very well. janet's themes seem a little better executed and, for my personal taste, i generally enjoy janet's choreography better. that said, madonna is more creative when it comes to her live show and even when its not executed perfectly it is usually very entertaining.

like i said, janet does janet very well and madonna does madonna very well. i wouldn't go to a janet show expecting it to be like a madonna show and vice versa.

Madonna. You never see the same show twice from tour to tour, unlike with Janet, where there may be different costume and set designs, and a few new songs, but will otherwise be virtually the same show all over again.

I still give her props for being an excellent showwoman, however, and my opinion is in no way intended to insult her or her fanbase.

It's funny you say that because I was watching Janet's All For You tour and I realized that I was entertained at the beginning of each number but got bored and found myself fast forwarding a lot. Don't get me wrong, the show overall was great but after a while it just seem like that same song and dance, but with different costumes and background, except for the Trust a Try routine---which was without doubt the best performance I have ever seen from Janet, because it was so different.

Yeah, I definitely enjoyed the "Trust A Try" bit from the tour.. she had some kind of space-age Halloween motif goin' on. Very unique.

Madonna is good, but I don't like the way she re-arranges her songs. Some of her re-arrangements are horrible.

I would have to say that Janet is the better performer (overall). Her vocal ability is not as good as Madonna, but I LOVE JANET!!!!!

Madonna's "blonde ambition" beats all of janet's tours, but her other tours especially her new one sucks major balls, it's like going to gay disco and then watching CNN.

Question:

Has the RN tour ever been released?

I saw a RN dvd the other day but it was videos..

anyway...I prefer Madonna's type of shows 'cuz
they're more theatrical & conceptual..

But Jante is funny when she cums/cries on stage lol

Madonna puts on a better, more cohesive, original, artistic, thought out, and tighter show. No doubt.

Janet is more dynamic and exciting to watch especially as a dancer, but after awhile there's just too much choreography and it all starts to look and feel the same whereas Madge gives a distinct feeling to the staging of each different song.

Janet lip-synchs more.

I've seen them both many times, and would go see each one several times more.

I'd have to say Madonna. She seems to work the audience better. Janet puts up such a wall. She's always got that serious face and she seems to be concentrating on her moves too much. I think Madonna is a slightly better singer, too.

I'm basing this on TV performances though, I haven't seen either in concert.

This reminds me of when a friend said that Janet can't (or doesn't) dance unless it's choreographed.

Anyway, I've seen them both live and I think Madonna puts on a better show from lights to set design and so on. I enjoy Janet's shows but I if she tours again she needs to do something completely different.
Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off
