Admit it. Milli Vanilli were great!

I wish I still had the entire album.. I just have the singles, but you know what - - these are fun, fresh, funky R&B/pop songs. Too bad they just didn't come out w/ their actual performers.... they could have continued on and had a nice career.

These songs are damn good. Well, not really, their horribly cheesy, but that's their appeal. Fun music to listen to while driving.

I bought the cassette when it came out. Still have it, in excellent condition, and still plays well.

Rob and Fabrice were great dancers and made the "image" thing great! However, I think the music is what made that album. One of my dreams as a musician would be to go to Germany and find those 2 old dudes, and record a track with them. They were slammin' singers and anyone who doesn't think so, need to track down Milli Vanilli's version of "Its Your Thing." That song and "Take It As It Comes" put modern pop songs to shame IMO.

Love the album Girl You Know Its True and the followup disc by the Real Milli Vanilli (with the real singers on the cover) called Moment Of Truth is about 7/10 IMO, which isn't bad.

I look at this cd every day.I have it in my living room on display. It was given to me as a joke gift, but I will never give it up. It's music history!I don't like it and I didn't when they were popular. I understood why people liked them and I still don't know why they were villified so much. They gave people what they wanted and most people could care less about the artistry if the packaging is good and they can shake their asses a lil'. Just because they lip-synched should not have been reason to destroy them.Yes,that sucks in a purist way,but the music was bubblegum, anyhow. How many musical acts truly are the real deal? They aren't publicly urinated on. The blonde dude even committed suicide.None of what they "did" was worthy of the shame and hate they had to swallow.I know so many people who ask me to make them copies of that cd or sell it to them. I haven't done it,but I may start to agree to make copies.Who am I to be a snob?If people like it,that's good enough for me.We all like what we like.I just think people would be better served exposing themselves to more and if they still like Milli Vanilli and others like that then, rock on! Now,I'm thinking of framing that cd.I actually witnessed a great rock scandal.Cool!Milli Vanilli actually is great!!They're bad boys of rock!I gotta get my hands on all the bootlegs and outtakes!

I'm a big fan.

Actually, I have never known what to make of that whole thing. I loved that album, just a catchy pop record, but I don't know if the guys were just innocent dupes in Frank Farian's wicked games or knowing accomplices trying to pull a fast one. All indications point to the former even though the guys didn't help themselves out by bragging about how great their records were in interviews.

I think I read a quote where Farian said something about Prince justifying Milli Vanilli. He said a lot of artists could sing as good as Prince but very few looked as good as Prince.
All good things they say never last...

It's one thing to lip-synch but to not sing at all? I thought when they tried to come back as Rob and Fab and were on Arsenio was a classic moment. I wonder if that is on YouTube. If it isn't, it should be.

The party's been revived about every couple years in my house thanks to Moonie.

Maybe I should post the picture of myself dressed as Milli for Halloween. lol
