I have to admit it: better than I thought.

Yes, it is painting by numbers, something a good producer can do in 10 minutes (it probably took longer to teach her the vocals than to record the complete background track), yes, her vocals are average. But at least this song (though it sounds like something done 1000 times before) has a melody. Something you can't say about 60 % of the stuff on the radio these days.

Anyway, overall it's still shit. biggrin

A Gwen Stefani solo track, maybe.

Hmm, does this shit stink of "Underneath It All"?

Wise men say only fools rush in
but I can't help falling in love with you
Shall I stay
would it be a sin
If I can't help falling in love with you

Like a river flows surely to the sea
Darling so it goes
some things are meant to be
take my hand, take my whole life too
for I can't help falling in love with you

Let's face it folks. If this was the new single by Madonna, this forum would be full of appreciation threads now (although the music wouldn't sound any better).

U guys are BRAVE. The only way I would listen to this woman is by force. Someone would have to kidnap me, put my head in a vice, and force some ear phones down my ears. Otherwise, I'll pass.

Oh my god, I'm so embarrased. That's a pleasant little song. Like everyone said, vocals, eh, but it's a sweet little melody and if nothing else, I'm glad she's aping Gwen rather than Beyonce.

They don't make computers good enough to copy Beyonce- yet. I'm not saying she's the best singer in the world but she's well above Gwen, Britney, Madonna, Janet, Lindsay, etc.

Mmm, maybe technically, but Beyonce's personality is so rigid that she sounds a bit like she could be a robot to me.

I guess I'm just saying that it's better that Paris seems to know her limitations and has found a song that relies more on a strong melody rather than the vocal melismas that Beyonce has built her career on.

I don't know if I ever said this on this forum before but I remember when they had her "performing" her "first single" "Screwed" (which was supposed to come out in like 2003!). ET basically taped her at an event "singing" and as awful as you think she would sound....10 times worse! It really wasn't singing at all....it was like talking with a terrible voice. No wonder the album keeps getting delayed and changes styles every few months (it was originally supposed to be more rock...then pop.....then hip-hop/crunk,,,,then rumours of her wanting the Pet Shop Boys to work on it made it sound dance....now reggae!). I don't even have to hear it to know that it's not even laughably entertaining but just plain sucks, just like her.

hmmm, i agree with the Gwen Stefani similarities, but if i would have listened to it not knowing who it was, i wouldn't have thought it was actually Gwen Stefani though,...she's like a "breathy" Gwen Stefani type.

wonder how she'll sound live though....
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
