Another artist who needs to shut up Paul Stanley say many a dumbass thing.
At the VH1 Rock Honors he said "real rock n roll by a real rock n roll band". Meanwhile, he's got fake Ace & Peter members performing with him. And they never announce it. Could be why Ace played with the tribute band right before them.

Kiss are and were a great rock and roll band! They earned their place in rock and roll music and they have a huge loyal fanbase. They also made many great rock and roll songs and all are listenable too.

KISS r NOT still a great Rock 'n Roll band..
They've become a travesty..If u have 2 rely on re-releasing ur Greatest Hits 4 twenty plus years..u r not great but pathetic & don't tell me u still enjoy their shows..cuz that shit is boring as fuck..it's always the same..The only Great Kiss thing in the last decade was Peter criss performing 'Beth' looking like a pre op tranny.. that always had me in stitches.. Gene Simmons even made a comment about making 'Kiss' a brand that could go on 4 ever after they quit with a completely different line up.. Paul Stanley's voice is completely shot retire NOW fat bitches.. ...Your coochie gonna swell up and fall apart...

speaking of the rectum..Gene Simmons' last solo album was almost okay... I guess I'm just a fan from way back. I don't listen to their music a lot these days, but back in the day, I listened to all of it and saw them live a few times. I'm not saying they're the greatest band ever or anything like that, but I do like them and they were a big part of my teenage years. I guess I have a soft spot for them.

I would love to see a battle of the fanbases between Kiss and Prince. I have said on here before that the "Kiss Army" is probably the most loyal fanbase around. Those guys will kill you for dissing Kiss. Its funny to me how people can be so loyal to entertainers.

Paul and Gene have always been shit talkers, it's what makes the band so fun. They were never trying to be the next Led Zepplin, they were just making great music that they enjoyed. They have always been upfront about wanting to mass market the hell out of their band.

I remember seeing Gene on a show promoting the Kiss credit card. He was so blatant and forward about it that it was hilarious. It was that "Isn't this ridiculous - now go get one" kinda thing. Classic Gene attitude.

My first concert ever was KISS in 1979. It pretty much changed my world. I never joined the Army but dressed up as Paul for Halloween one year and played air guitar with pool sticks to Rock-n-Roll All Over while a friend spewed ketchup from his mouth. There was something very superhero-ish to them. You really believed Paul was a lover, Gene was a demon(spewing blood and flying during live shows), Ace was an alien with super powers(like shooting laser beams from his guitar to destroy other guitars) and Peter was a cat. Carving KISS into trees, notebooks and rulers. You were cool if you liked KISS, in middle school. As far as what they are doing now? Who knows. I grew out of that phase a long time ago. But I know Paul Stanley was spotted at the opening date of the Musicology tour, probably taking notes. They are rock legends.

Last I read, Paul did Phantom of the Opera for a while, then had to chill out for a while due to hip surgery, and got divorced from his wife, but supposedly he's finishing up work on his second solo album. Gene released his second solo album a couple years ago.
