Murder ballad perhaps? There is a Hungarian poet who wrote a poem about a woman (Ágnes) who's washing a "bloody" veil in the river. She killed her husband and this murder made her crazy - so all she does is washing that veil cos she thinks it's still bloody... . [Edited 5/31/06 7:38am]

I love Aerial, although Mrs. Bartolozzi isn't a particular favourite.
The second disc is just... majestic! Prologue, Sunset, Nocturne, Somewhere In Between... all amongst her best work. And you just know that King Of The Mountain will go down as vintage Kate at it's best.

it just sounds to me like kate being the insane fucking genius she is....though sometimes when my mood is right, i "get" the song. i don't think it's anything as intense as a murder ballad, though i think that creepy, ominous edge is certainly intentional.

You don't think it's becuase she had severe writers block, but just kept marching on refusing to believe it? Sorry to say, but I think you might be right there. How comes no one's mentioned how good Bertie is? How comes no one's mentioned what an awful name that is to saddle your son with? How comes no one's mentioned that Kate's voice is slightly thinner than it used to be? How comes no one's mentioned.... sorry, I'm out.

Murder ballad perhaps? If you think that's weird then you should get your hands on The Dreaming. That album is really weird. The Dreaming. Yep. Weird. "Get out of my houssssse!!! Get out of my houssssse!!!"
