Pharrell Williams News! from mtv.com There's plenty of comparisons to be drawn between Kanye West and Pharrell Williams. They're two of the most acclaimed producers in hip-hop, for one thing. They both embarked on recording careers after establishing themselves behind the boards. And let's not forget their dapper fashion styles, either, which are noted at virtually every event they attend. But if the two have been competing all this time, it's time to end the contest: The titans came together over the weekend in Miami to shoot Pharrell's new video, "Number 1." The video is said to revolve in part around Pharrell's Billionaire Boys Club clothing line. The song was produced by Pharrell under his "Skateboard P" alter-ego, while Kanye chipped in with guest raps. "Number 1" is the next video from Pharrell's long-delayed In My Mind LP. In My Mind drops on JULY 25TH!! Go to http://www.pharrellwilliams.com to hear the new joint with KANYE WEST. [Edited 5/21/06 20:30pm]

This video is so incredibly funny. Best part is when they dance around the gigantic man purse. It really is a Louis Vuitton ad and nothing more - just like the Say Somethin' vid was. dreamfactory has he signed a contract with them or something?

Not that I know of. He is a fan of LV, as is Kanye. They are both really jet setting and flossin' in those 2 latest videos. He is leaving the skateboard themes and cutoffs behind, I guess. I do think the bag was a bit much though, but u cant please everyone all of the time. I still like the song though.

I think I would like the song without Kanye, so maybe he will have a no rap version on some promo or something. I actually love that he's going really upscale and chic in his vids. But the man purse had me It was massive!
