Pet Shop Boys
Depeche Mode
Marilyn Manson
Slipknot

All of those other horrible bands that teens love like Blink 182, Wheatus etc.

They are all totally devoid of funk musically so devoid of funk full stop.

Manson's I Don't Like The Drugs.. is one hell of a funk song

I disagree there! He's part of the so stiff so cold so funky electronic crowd, like Kraftwerk.

yup...stuff like "cars" and "we have a technical" are like refrigerated funk, they're so cold. nod

I may be wrong, but didn't Gary Numan have a LP called "Pleasure Principle'?

I remember hearing some of that and thinking it was pretty funky (in an electronic way) for 1979. Wouldn't be surprised if P checked some of that out back then.

Or The Smiths "Draize Train" and "Barbarism Begins at Home". nod

(I know technically The Smiths aren't Morrissey, but still... )
