Judy Garland She's a legend. I was watching this program on one of those old movie channels, and it was talking about Judy Garland's career and showed a lot of clips of her concert performances, tv shows, movie performances, etc. It was very interesting as i hadn't really taken an interest in her career before, but the woman could blow!!! She was so talented, they compared her to being like a "female Sinatra" during her time because there wasn't any other female singer during the 50's & 60's that could reach her remarkable stature.
Now we all know that she did have her own personal demons with prescription drugs, alcohol, and weight issues, but through it all, the woman was a great performer and her life was definitely cut too short at age 47. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

June 27, 1969 the day Judy was laid to rest... the Stonewall riots happened when police raided a gay bar where people were gathered to morn her.r
The orginal Pride festivals were held on the one year anniversary of Stonewall. You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna

Love her. So far as music is concerned she really is one of my vocal heroes.
To get to the real core of Judy, the true essence of how brilliant a performer she was...I recommend watching the ABC biopic (starring Judy Davis, and won an emmy) "Me and My Shadows" produced by her youngest girl Lorna Luft...and the definitive classic "A Star Is Born", and watch her sing the HELL out of "The Man That Got Away"....the extras on that dvd are also pretty cool too

I was surprised that very few of my friends knew about the Stonewall incident. I've only met one other person that knows about it and he is a friend from out of town. Every gay person should learn about this incident. I absolutely loved the movie "Stonewall". I kept rewinding the riot scene over and over. Andy is a four letter word.

There seems to be absolutely no pride down here whatsoever. In one club down here, those stupid queens let these men call them "faggots" in their own damn club. They don't care if these men degrade them as long as they can sleep with them. I don't even go to that club anymore because it makes me furious that they all don't gang up and beat the hell out of these assholes. I guarantee you, a white person would never make it out of a black club alive going around calling people "niggers". Why should gay people sit up and take shit like damn fools?
