KWICK - Foreplay ( 1983 / Bar-Kays production )

Anyone here familiar with this album ?
Produced by the late & great Allen A. Jones* and Michael Winston* ( Bar-Kays ) for Capitol Records .

This was Kwick's 3rd and last album .
It's a combination of the typical Bar-Kay sound with some slight slices of the MNPLS-groove .

The infectious STUCK UP was released as a single .

Other strong tracks are :

- I'VE BEEN WATCHING YOU
- I'LL GET YOU RIGHT
- WILL YOU

* In the same year Allen & Michael also co-operated on this album :

I don't have Kwick's album but I do have the 45, "Too Lonely To Be Alone" with the B side "Will You".

"Too Lonely To Be Alone" is one of my favorite slow jams.....

I'm touching myself just thinking of you
Getting relief for me is long overdue
Sex starved, I reach for you and you're not there
I realize the closest thing to me is my underwear

I'm too lonely to be alone
I don't sleep right at night, now that you're gone
If I can't have you I don't want no one else
I'd rather satisfy making love all by myself

AAWWWW Sing it Dammitt!!!!! lol

Hell yeah! The Barkays' very funky Prince sounding band. The voice, the music,.....it was Prince all the way!
