First of all, let me say I love this topic. nod I rearranged the titles around and dropped some of my favorites (Off The Wall - Michael Jackson being an example) out of the top 20, hence why I made the extra 6. Oh yeah and seeing as I'm a recording artist, I left off my own CDs and other local bands I love! wink

Great thread!

I'm not really very good at these things, but I'll give it a shot. Also, I'm going to limit it to one album per artist or else it'd be like half Prince and Bowie and thus, pretty boring. Here goes, in no particular order...

Lovesexy - Prince
Low - David Bowie
Vespertine - Björk
Boys For Pele - Tori Amos
Exile In Guyville - Liz Phair
Rid Of Me - PJ Harvey
Maxinquaye - Tricky
Disintegration - The Cure
Unknown Pleasures - Joy Division
Achtung Baby! - U2
Violator - Depeche Mode
In A Silent Way - Miles Davis
Lovers Rock - Sade
Check Your Head - Beastie Boys
Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness - Smashing Pumpkins
Nevermind - Nirvana
In The Garden - Eurythmics
Stranded - Roxy Music
Self-Titled - Ramones
Erotica (for today) - Madonna

I couldn't get up to 20, so this is my top 10....

1) Dangerous - Michael Jackson
2) Sign 'O' The Times - Prince
3) Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - The Beatles
4) Blood Sugar Sex Magik - Red Hot Chili Peppers
5) Let It Bleed - Rolling Stones
6) Physical Graffiti - Led Zeppelin
7) Mothership Connection - Parliament
8) Bat Out Of Hell - Meat Loaf
9) Innervisions - Stevie Wonder
10) Grace - Jeff Buckley

Well done for including Jeff Buckley. I'll have to put that in instead of Duran Duran (I bet you were all wondering how the Durannies got in there, Rio's actually a really great album if you get to listen to it). Even though I haven't heard Grace, Hallelujah is one of my favourite tracks if not my all time favourite. I included Christy Moore for the same reason, I just love Black is the colour.

I think Grace is just such a musical masterpiece. Jeff Buckley had alot more to offer IMO. Such a shame.

few tracks.
