DavidEye applauded: Will you be buying these reissues? I've been listening to my Bee Gees and related stuff lately and don't think I need remasters I wish we had more info on when the extended editions are being released. Nothing at Barry and Robin sites Hey, even Rhino's webpage didn't mention anything last time I checked I feel so

I replaced Main Course and Living Eyes last year with the Japanese reissues (not remastered) and I'm getting fed up with all those reissues/remasters. I just want one Final Edition

So what the hell is that supposed to mean? Are some albums gonna be re-released twice? What about B sides and such? Dammit! I want some CONFIRMATION!!!!

They're all supposed to be released by the end of the year. We're nearly half way there.

PANDURITO said: The first fruit of the Bee Gees' recent deal with Rhino will emerge on June 13, when the label issues remastered versions of six of the group's albums. The titles are
1976's "Children of the World," 1979's "Spirits Having Flown," 1993's "Size Isn't Everything," 1997's "Still Waters," 1998's live album "One Night Only" and 2001's "This Is Where I Came In." Hold up. I've just realised that High Civilization is missing from this list. And yet I've already seen it advertised along with the others included in the first batch. This uncertainty is hurting my little brain.

didn't The Bee Gees release a Live album in 1977 (several months before Saturday Night Fever came out)? I never hear much about it,and it's not being remastered.

Actually, it is supposed to be among the remasters. I've not heard it for years so I'll probably pick it up.

Yeah, it's hardly like they're in desperate need of a makeover. They could have waited, but then again, technology moves on all the time and Still Waters is nearly 10 years old already!

Lulu said go stuff your harp up your arse. You should die inside another man then you can wear him for eternity. Or is that just a little bit too weird. Tell Lulu she still knows how to arouse me. The same way her Mother always did.

Or is that just a little bit too weird. Weird? I wear all my men that way. It's a bit tricky explaining it on dress-down day but hey... Cloudbuster said: Tell Lulu she still knows how to arouse me. The same way her Mother always did.

For some reason it showed up on later vinyl pressings. The CD reissue released in the late 90s contained the original studio recording. Not sure what the mix-up was about.

This uncertainty is hurting my little brain. Yeah, and wheres "e.s.p"? I own "esp" "one" "high civilisation" and "size isn'tm everything". They are good AOR albums, with the bee gees pop touch. "high civilisation" feels like an epic. All the songs are lush, long, and its a complex album. It reminds me of a yes album like "union" actually (which was released in 1991). "union" is an odd album (and one of my all time favs). U should try it. "high civilisation" also is alot darker in tone to the straightforward sounding "one" album. I gave the track "dimensions" to a hiphop head, and he loved it. Its almost newjack, but its a dark, moody song, as is "human sacrifice", which is the darkest song i have ever heard the bgee's sing. I love "when he's gone", awesome track. Anyway, u may remember me liking those 4 albums, and i still do. "e.s.p" is very dated, but very unique production wise. Layers upon layers of keyboards etc.... wonderful. Those 4 albums are supurbly produced. Though "one", as i said, is the more accessible "one" of the bunch. From that, "bodyguard" and "its my neighbopurhood" along with the sad "wish u were here", are my favs

Everything is gonna be re-released remastered and expanded ,including SNF. It's the uncertainty of not knowing when that's killing us. Besides, this first batch is NOT expanded If I knew the expanded editions were delayed indefinitely I'd be buying some of those now but not if in six months they'll be asking for my money again
