Yeah - heavy breathing. You have been missed by a lot of people. I'm glad you're back. Yeah, maybe all those reissues will be a waste of time. Just stick to 'Saturday Night Fever' and bin the rest. I didn't actually start off with 'Mr Natural' - and, yeah, it does get a bad rap - but that's how far back I've gone in their catalogue. Maybe it's because it wasn't one of their strongest albums that I didn't bother digging any further. But I have all their albums from 'Mr Natural' up to the latest. (Including 'Living Eyes', thank you. ). And I do have a copy of 'Odessa' that I borrowed once and need to return to its' owner. The early 70s albums are quite patchy, although there are at least two or three gems on all of them, imo. I quite like Mr. Natural, I think it was their strongest effort since Odessa in '69. It's interesting 'cos you can hear them moving towards the R&B sound that they perfected on the follow up while at the same time still catering to the fans of their earlier sound. I'm quite looking forward to a remasterd edition of Odessa. Marley Purt Drive, Melody Fair and Lamplight are overlooked gems.

Yeah Cloudy....what's the deal? Will there be any bonus tracks? Funnily enough I got a note from Pandurito asking the same thing. Pandy said: >Hi Cloudy > > I've just seen at Amazon.com 4 Bee Gees remasters scheduled for June 6...but the track list is the same old one. > Do you know anything about it? > When Rhino bought their catalog they said they were going to release remastered, EXTENDED editions, didn't they? ----- My reponse was: Yeah, that was the news I'd heard as well. Who knows, maybe the additional track information hasn't been issued yet. Or perhaps they decided against it altogether. Maybe there'll be an album or a box set of outtakes. It seems that even the B sides haven't been added to the remasters, so there could be a plan to compile all that stuff seperately. I hope so anyway, as there's even a few A sides that weren't on the studio albums and I'd hate it if they weren't also remastered. Guess we'll have to wait and see, innit. -----

It's bugging me now but I can't think which song it is that I love off 'Odessa'. It's a ballad, lots of strings, quite melancholy, very beautiful.

Other than the Saturday Night Fever Sdtk and I think it's called Still Waters from the 80's, I don't own any others. I've always bought the Greatest Hits and variations of those. Is that the one that has "Boogie Child"? Then that's the one that I want. "Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!

Yes,this is the album that features the funky "Boogie Child".Released in 1976,this album also contains the major hits "You Should Be Dancing" and "Love So Right".Two songs from this album were successfully covered by other artists: "Love Me" covered by Yvonne Elliman "You Stepped Into My Life" covered by Melba Moore Other noteworthy tracks include "Subway" and the title track, which is a real gem.

The first fruit of the Bee Gees' recent deal with Rhino will emerge on June 13, when the label issues remastered versions of six of the group's albums. The titles are
1976's "Children of the World," 1979's "Spirits Having Flown," 1993's "Size Isn't Everything," 1997's "Still Waters," 1998's live album "One Night Only" and 2001's "This Is Where I Came In." No bonus tracks are featured on these reissues , but it is understood Rhino is planning to eventually release expanded editions of select Bee Gees albums with rare and unreleased material.
