Frank Zappa

Someone here mentioned that he is very good. Can anyone give me a list of tracks that would make a good introduction to him?

Thanks

Try the "Sheik Yerbouti" album. It's a masterpiece. "Bobby Brown" is a stone classic. Then get "Joe's Garage".

I heard "Joe's Garage" and I was entertained.

Then I heard something live, I'm not even sure where or what album, but it blew me away.

i can't recommend specific songs.

but if you can try to find these albums, you'll have a decent beginner's overview of what zappa's about.

freak out
apostrophe
overnite sensation
joe's garage
you are what you is
sheik yerbouti
frank zappa meets the mothers of prevention
them or us
zoot allures

and that's just scratching the surface. what's he have, like 30 some odd live albums too?

sorry verbies hug :ILL: :PUKE: I HATE FRANK ZAPPA!!! ill :PUKE:

A friend of mine who is a fan tried to get me into his music by playing some instrumental stuff that he did. Sounded alot like Prince took some pointers from Frank.

I still can't get with him though...
