New Yeah Yeahs Yeahs is Growing On Me At first I didn't like it at all but now I can say I like the first 6 tracks. Phenomena and Gold Lion are my jamz. What do you guys think of this CD?

Oh, yeahhh. "Gold Lion" is the jam. I love it.
At least they aren't as overhyped as Gnarls Barkley!

I'm liking the new album more after seeing them live last week. It's very Siouxsie And The Banshees.

At least they aren't as overhyped as Gnarls Barkley! They used to be. Oh, lord, they were on every music mag when imaginable when "Show Your Bones" first dropped. I waited a few good weeks to listen to it -- just so I can feel it without the buzz in my face and form my own opinion.

Even before that when the first album was released, there was a lot of hype about the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and how they were the most original band to come out of NYC since...well, I don't know. I admit the early live shows in the smaller venues were pretty cool, but there was no way 'Fever To Tell' could have been as good as everyone expected it to be. And it wasn't.

It's a pretty good album. I'm almost glad she kinda toned down the crazy screaming a bit, because it got old kinda fast. It's amazing how big of a sound they get with so few members/instruments.
