Not only is it the best song on 'Can't Slow Down',I think it's his best song as a solo artist.

Just recently i played the opening/title-track Can't Slow Down which has a great drive . I saw at someones home a live-performance of St. Paul Peterson in 1985 , playing that track . But instead of the synth-bass like in Lionel's version it was replaced for a booming slapthumbfunk MusicMan bass . You catch the drift if you've ever experienced that bass-sound . I like his mid-temp-ballad on that album too : Love Will Find A Way And another fine mid-temp around the same year from the Commodores : Guitarist Thomas McClary went solo too in 1984 and delivered some strong cuts : - Man In The Middle - Contagious - Gonna Get You Back . . . [Edited 5/12/06 2:49am] Funny.... As much as I seen this album, back in the day, I never bother to buy it...

I love "Oh No". My favorite is "Too Hot Ta Trot". Andy is a four letter word.

Did you guys ever see that 1983 movie "The Last American Virgin"? It's a silly,Porky's-like teen comedy. The song "Oh No" is played throughout this film.....constantly! You hear it every five minutes or so.

i love "oh no"... one of my all-time slow jams... but to me, the slow jam of all commodores slow jams with always be "just to be close to you"... that song cooks... the duel lead vocals... and of course, lionel's recitation... "all the material thangs i thought had so much valya... really didn't have any valya at all"... Mr. Ellis Dee-licious, the Official NPGigolo
