So the Eurythmics remasters I bought are gathering dust

...I'm just not motivated to listen! sad

I really really want to get into them. I love their GH album and all of Annie's solo albums. The day they came out I went and splurged and bought four of the remasters blindly:

Be Yourself Tonight
In the Garden
Touch
Sweet Dreams

...and I dunno. Have listened to Sweet Dreams and Touch a couple a times but not really paying attention. Right now I'm listening to "English Summer" and it's pretty ill.

Gangstafam, somebody...will you help? boxed
I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

Is that ill in a good way?

The 4 albums you bought are all brilliant.

Have you put them on just as background music? If so, I would suggest starting right from the beginning (In The Garden) and listen to them on headphones as you're going to sleep at night. Or put them on your iPod and listen while you're in the car. Try somewhere that you won't be distracted and I can guarantee you that you'll be sucked in.

Oh gosh. I wouldn't even know where to begin. I'm a huge fan of all things Eury/Annie.

Just to make it easy for now, I'll pick my favorites from each album...

In the Garden - Belinda, Take Me To Your Heart, English Summer, Sing-Sing
Sweet Dreams - Love is a Stranger, I've Got An Angel, Jennifer, This City Never Sleeps
Touch - Here Comes the Rain Again, Cool Blue, Aqua, Paint A Rumour
1984 - Ministry of Love, Sex Crime, I Did It Just The Same
Be Yourself Tonight - Conditioned Soul, It's Alright (Baby's Coming Back), Would I Lie To You?
Revenge - the singles
Savage - Shame, Savage, You Have Placed A Chill In My Heart, Beethoven
We Too Are One - Angel
B-Sides - Step On The Beast, Invisible Hands, Monkey Monkey, 4/4 In Leather, I Could Give You A Mirror (Remix)

I know, I'm lame. I just can't narrow it down right now. lol

The fourth one I would have purchased had it been remastered would have been 1984.

Now this is my kind of thread!

Those remasters are amazing, amazing gifts. I'd been waiting so long for them. The 4 you picked up are probably the best. Eurythmics were one of the most visionary artists of their time and the evolution of their music and their immense creativity are all documented well with these remastered albums. I've bought 4 copies of the entire set- 3 as gifts!
