Oh gosh. I wouldn't even know where to begin. I'm a huge fan of all things Eury/Annie.

Just to make it easy for now, I'll pick my favorites from each album...

In the Garden - Belinda, Take Me To Your Heart, English Summer, Sing-Sing
Sweet Dreams - Love is a Stranger, I've Got An Angel, Jennifer, This City Never Sleeps
Touch - Here Comes the Rain Again, Cool Blue, Aqua, Paint A Rumour
1984 - Ministry of Love, Sex Crime, I Did It Just The Same
Be Yourself Tonight - Conditioned Soul, It's Alright (Baby's Coming Back), Would I Lie To You?
Revenge - the singles
Savage - Shame, Savage, You Have Placed A Chill In My Heart, Beethoven
We Too Are One - Angel
B-Sides - Step On The Beast, Invisible Hands, Monkey Monkey, 4/4 In Leather, I Could Give You A Mirror (Remix)

I know, I'm lame. I just can't narrow it down right now. lol

thanks...damn you a superfan. is that your all time fave artist?
what about "peace?" i know that record pretty well because it was post Annie's solo career so I think i picked it up like the day it came out. i like:
"I Saved the World Today"
"My True Love" (or whatever track 9 is called)
"Forever"

the rest is...ehh

I adore every bit of Peace. Interestingly, many of the tracks are slightly different on the remaster of that album. It's cool to have 2 different versions! "Peace Is Just a Word" ranks among my all time favorite songs. I can listen to that album for ages, although I do like early Eurythmics best.

It's fun, but if you read Annie's biography, it's pretty clear that the most innovative and creative album they made by far was Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This). The lengths to which they went to circumvent their own poverty and come up with the sounds are just mind-boggling.

my boxset is gathering dust as well, but only because i hardly ever
listen to my stereo anymore. i've just uploaded all the remasters 2
my computer and listen to them on there.

i love all the extra tracks and the remastered quality. plus i used
to make do without some of their albums that i lost over the years,
so i'm getting re-introduced to them all over again.

did anyone hear the podcast or whatever it was where dave steward is
talking you through the new greatest hits album? he plays bits of an
orchestral arrangement from "Here Comes The Rain Again" and some more
cool stuff.

I still can't believe that Annie and Dave haven't written a track entitled "Lars" yet. smile

my copies of the remasters are gathering dust too, but so are most of my CDs. i pretty much only listen to my music via my mp3 player these days. still, i don't listen to eurythmics much more than i ever have, and i'm still bummed that one of my favorites - the 1984 soundtrack - couldn't be part of the remasters.

yeah, it really should have been included in the box. heck, they should have
left out Peace imo and tried harder to get to include 1984.

I'm still listening to mine. I got the box set from Amazon UK last year. I think it's all of the albums. Good stuff.

i think there were licensing issues regarding the film...and maybe even issues with orwell's estate?

"Julia" hasn't ever been on a comp, unfortunately.

The issues with 1984 do indeed have to do with the film. I would have adored that album to be remastered, as it is among my favorite albums of all time.

Are you sure about that? I could have sworn that the old "Greatest Hits" CD had "Julia" on it. The import version had a few more songs on it, including "Sexcrime". Then there was a live "Greatest Hits" two-disc set, and it had a live version of "Sexcrime" on it, if I recall correctly...if I were home I could check my CDs, but since I'm at work I'm at the mercy of Google...

It's not on either the 18 track UK version of Greatest Hits or on Live: 1983-1989. sad I wish it was on something, as it is my second favorite song of theirs.

There are some bootleg comps I've seen from Russia. It may be on one of those.
