Echo and the Bunnymen- "Never Stop" What a song. I've gotten into Echo and the Bunnymen over the past year, and I have to say that this is the most stunning track I've heard of theirs. That opening cello riff coupled with the synthesizer is so instantly striking. The groove is delectable and Ian's vocals simply soar over that transcendent chorus.

Love this song. They had a lot of killer singles. "Do It Clean", "Seven Seas", "Bring On The Dancing Horses", "Lips Like Sugar" and of course "The Killing Moon". So many more I haven't mentioned. | |

I dig the Bunnymen. Killing Moon is my fave. Theres this scene in the movie Gia where she's headed down the heroin highway, and Killing Moon is the background music. The song Totally makes the scene intnse. A happy face, A Thumpin Bass, For A Lovin' Race. PEACE. | |

Indeed! They were a great singles band and I like their early albums quite a bit. I love them as well.Crocodiles, Heaven Up Here,Ocean Rain, & their 1987 album are my favorites of theirs. | |

Love it a lot, though it's just outside my top tier of Echo tracks. That list would include:
The Cutter Seven Seas (despite some questionable lyrics...cavemen singing??? yeesh to that line) Over the Wall Back of Love Heads Will Roll I saw them in a local club about three years ago, and they were absolutely brilliant, every bit as dense and hard as they were in their prime. The only drawback was that Ian M's vocals did sound a touch rough. Time and about a million cigarettes will do that, I suppose. [Edited 5/9/06 19:38pm] | |
