I'm so glad I FINALLY got into HIStory...

...Disc 2.

"Stranger in Moscow" has got to be one of (if not THE) best MJ ballads ever.

"Earth Song" is sooooo much better than fuckin Heal the World (my sixth grade graduation song, lol).

"They Don't Care About Us"--you can hear the pain and grit in his voice, the strife, the humiliation...priceless. Great beat.

"This Time Around"--I love the line "I'm taking no SHIT" Rock on Mike.

"2 Bad"--one of his best tracks ever. I also love the Wyclef remix from BOTD.

"Scream"--two of my favorite singers/icons/dancers on the SAME track, both named Jackson. Shit don't git better than that.

"Come Togther"--way better than any other version including the original (that's right. I SAID IT!)

"D.S."--That's right, Fuck that bald ass twig coat wearin' muthafucka.

Overall I can't believe this album was so overlooked. I think it hurt it to package it with the greatest hits...how could those songs possible stand up next to stuff from "Thriller" in the same package? Not that Thriller is so much better...I dunno I think it'd be much more highly regarded and have been bigger on its own.
I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

This is one of my favourites. And Slash rocks on it too!

You should give "Money" some time. It's subtle but a slow-burner. There's so many layers to that track and hidden bits buried in the mix... I hear something different everytime I listen to it.

I've always regarded HIStory as a great album. I never got why so many didn't like it.

I agree with MattyJam, one song you missed is "Money".

I have to thank you for your old write-up on MJNI about that one. It helped it become one of my all time favourites!

Little Susie is an underrated gem as well.

Best songs on HIStory:
- Stranger In Moscow
- They Don't Care About Us
- Little Susie

My only complaint is that they've included an edited version of an already released song on it: Come Together.

I love Smile! What a beautiful song!
"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really donĀ“t like the idea that he could have it all."

That's one kick ass album. MJ's best work imo. The album starts with a scream and ends with a smile. brillaint! i love how he's so angry through the whole album... and then he just like you know what...life will be okay if you just smile...

okay i hyped myself up, *putting on HIStory*

i also loove the title HIStory or acutally His Story. just love it.

I HATED History. Worst class I ever took in school.

Oh, we're talking about the MJ album? Awesome! As others have said previously, I don't understand why people dismissed it. You can sense some real anger from MJ on some of the tunes. I love Money. Even the ballads aren't all that bad. Little Susie sounds almost experimental and is just a neat departure from everything else. And SHAQ! Cracks me up every time.

Invincible? I think not. Give me a HiStory lesson any day.

Another missed song is, "They Don't Care About Us." The anger is his voice is so present. Same with "HIStory" (Yeah the chorus gets kind of lame-o, but the verses are TIGHT.)

And "Tabloid Junkie" is the best MJ song EVER.

HIStory (Disc 2) is my favorite Michael album to date. I'm glad to see you are getting into it! music
