A revealing comment from Fitty

"I think she [Oprah] caters to older white women. Oprah's audience is my audience's parents, so I could care less about Oprah or her show."

So basically what 50 cent is saying here is that the only people that buy his crap are "white kids", he may have a good point for once, he thinks he is insulting Oprah, but in a way he is putting himself down by saying that even he cant appeal to Black people. Wow thanks 50 its about time the voice of reason finally spoke, wow hes a genius. duh

I'm sure Oprah is really losing a lot of sleep worrying about what a piece of trash thinks of her.

I admit that Oprah's show has become dull to me and I'm in my late 30s. I can see why he would say her show might only appeal to older women but why only older white women? If you really think about it, his statement is more insulting to black people than it is to white people because he's trying to generalize all black people as being trash like he is. He needs to wake his ignorant ass up and realize that all black people are not on his level. Most of them are far above him and he's the trash that they scrape off the bottom of their shoe.

I love that Oprah will invite Ludacris to her show and tell him that she doesn't like his lyrics, but then dance all that ass off to In Da Club like it's inspiring. Maybe he can head her Angel Network.

BUT, while she was dancing, were the lyrics being played or was just the music playing? AND, did she choose the music or did her staff choose it? And please don't tell me it doesn't matter?

I am convinced Beyonce's career would not be where it is, if she had dark skin.

Am I an Oprah show informant? How the hell would I know who picked it? The song was playing, she was singing along and dancing.

Not that I'm trying to turn into my crachety old parents, but, I think you're definitely onto something here lol (as I sit and try to imagine my musically-inclined, senior citizen, black parents with eyes bulging out of socket from being coerced into enduring a 50 Cent song on urban radio lol lol lol lol)

I could be Gayle, you never know wink .

Seriously, this issue has been all over the internet over the past week and there are those that keep bringing up Oprah singing and dancing along to 50 Cent's music. The thing is, I know exactly what they are talking about and they are WRONG!!!!! This RipHer2Shreds poster seem to be in the same lot. Some people are trying to catch Oprah at something by trying to prove something that did not happen. Oprah's critics aren't the only one's that watch her show. If she is to be "caught" at least have the facts correct.

And for what it's worth, if you remember the episode and recall the circumstances, it was quite obvious Oprah was not responsible for the music playing.

Her fucking 50th birthday party. At that point I still watched and liked her show. She sang the shit then her favorite wig wearing white guy came out dancing to it later.

I'm sorry but what does it matter if just the music was playing or the lyrics, too? You pretty much have to live on Mars to not recognize In Da Club. It's okay to admit that the Big O may be a wee bit full of shit like the rest of us.
