Beatles New Book Here, There, Everywhere Picked up this book by George Emerck former Beatles Engineer. So far a great read a lot of insight on who played what instruments and how songs came together with a little bit of gossip.
But for a musician this is a must read, recording techiniques and editing discussed at length. Music is the best...

Have you read The Beatles Complete Recording Sessions book (I think that's the title)? Seems kind of dry in concept (June 12 john records the vocal overdub for Lucy...) but it's interesting if you know their music very well.
Sounds similar, I might like to check out the Geoff Emerick book. [Edited 5/5/06 13:57pm] My Legacy

I have a copy of that. It's good to dip into every now and again.
