Yeah, I agree. If these are considered the best, that's sad!

These are not the best IMO, but we all have different tastes.

Wow, 3121 has to be in on that list (I'm really feeling that album right now). Also The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, Acoustic Soul - India Arie, and A Change is Gonna Come - Leela James.

I love Medulla and it might even be in my top 10 of the century, but I wouldn't expect it in anyone else's list.

Mara

"Best Albums of the Century" is TOO LOFTY an estimation to grant these works for a time period that's just around 7.5 years deep.

I'm sorry, but we need to get -- at least -- to 2025 or the '40's before we begin spouting off "century" lists without seeming facetious.

It's probably still too early...but I think these are my favorites so far:

Q-tip - Kamaal The Abstract
Hefner - Residue
Dwele - Rize
Lewis Taylor - Lewis II
Kate Bush - Aerial
Bjork - Vespertine
Donald Fagen - Morph The Cat
Meshell Ndegeocello/Spirit Music Jamia - Dance of The Infidel
Pat Metheny Group - The Way Up
Lewis Taylor - Stoned
Charlie Peacock - Love Press Ex-Curio
Prince - The Rainbow Children
(was unsure about that last one, til I made a copy without the annoying narration....)
