surprisingly, most of the Gap Band compilations are disappointing. Each one is always missing an important song or two.I don't know why they don't have a complete, definitive 2-CD compilation by now, like Cameo,Kool and The Gang and many others.I guess your best bet would be this:

THE GAP BAND "ULTIMATE COLLECTION"

"Shake" (single version)
"Open Up Your Mind (Wide)" (single version)
"Steppin' (Out)" (single version)
"I Don't Believe You Want To Get Up And Dance (Oops)" (single version)
"Burn Rubber (Why You Wanna Hurt Me)" (single version)
"Yearning For Your Love" (single version)
"Early In The Morning" (single version)
"You Dropped A Bomb On Me" (single version)
"Outstanding" (single version)
"Party Train" (single version)
"Beep A Freak" (original album version edit)
"I Found My Baby" (single version)
"Going In Circles" (original album version)
"Big Fun" (single version)
"Sweeter Than Candy" (single version, from "Penitentiary II")
"I'm Gonna Git U Sucka" (album version)
"All Of My Love" (album version)
"Addicted To Your Love" (album version)
"We Can Make It Alright" (album version)

But even this compilation has its' flaws. What's with all the single edits? Certain songs must be heard in their extended 12" versions ("Outstanding" is a prime example). And where is "Humpin"?! What about "Disrespect"? Or the popular album track "Season's No Reason To Change"? Or their underrated 1986 single "Desire"? See why I said they should have a good 2-CD set by now?

Not a collection but would highly recommended Gap Band III. The track Nothing Comes to Sleepers is a gem. Of course, it contains Humpin, Burn Rubber, and yearning for your love (runnin).

A few things you're missing are on that sampler i mentioned in my earlier post and some of them are extended versions too thumbs up!
The soundquality on that particular cd is great too .
