Reggae - good music that is rooted in Jamaican culture.

Reggaeton - Crappy music rooted in Hispanic culture.

omfg EEEEyyy Cuidado theres not such thing as "hispanic culture". And reggeaton is closer to hip-hop than to any specific "hispanic" musical tradition

the only difference is the language barrier.....Reggaeton artists yell and scream and so do dancehall artists....let's not make it a race thing because there is some crappy music from both genres...Spanish Reggae is not something that just happened either. It goes as far back as the late 80's and early 90's with Panamanian & Puerto Rican artists El General,Nando Boom,Marcony,La Atrevida,Lisa M.,and Arzu.
I am not African. Africa is in me, but I cannot return.
I am not taína. Taíno is in me, but there is no way back.
I am not european. Europe lives in me, but I have no home there.
I am new. History made me. My first language was spanglish.
And I am

The fucking shit is tuneless swill. Beats, but with no heart or groove--who wants that? Sure, hispanics need good music, but better that they do real music, not this shit. I'd suggest tropicalia.
All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!
