Any live album?! Have you taken your temperature lately? You might want to. I think something might be terribly wrong with you. STAGE is one of the BEST live albums by anyone, ever! We're talking about Carlos Alamar and Adrian Belew...live versions of the fantastic experimental instrumental pieces from "Low" and "Heroes"...Bowie's energy at its highest in years...good lord, how could this be considered something to avoid?!

I'll agree with you on "David Live"...it MUST be the side-effects of the cocaine...

And "Hours..." isn't THAT bad. It's unremarkable, but it did bless us with the beautiful song "Seven".

The only Bowie albums I wouldn't recommend right off the bat would be "Never Let Me Down" and "Young Americans". Save 'em for when/if you want to complete your collection.

Bowie's pathetic. He can't sing, he's ugly, he can't decide if he wants men or women, one eye is a different color than the other, he has bad teeth. He is hopeless.

Okay, I'll take the flame-bait, but only because you WENT THERE. (Taking my rings off, someone pass the Vaseline..)

Bowie can't sing? Listen to Bowie's cover of "Wild Is The Wind" from "Station To Station". If that's not singing, then I need a complete reeducation on what singing IS. And apparently, so do a great many people who consider him a great vocalist.

He's ugly? Fine. More for me. Let's see what YOUR punk ass looks like when you're 56.

He can't decide if he wants men or women? Iman sure looks like a woman to me. A really, really gorgeous woman. And judging from the nude photographs he's taken of her and posted on his website (it's less nasty than it sounds, folks), not to mention their baby daughter, it seems like he wants her PLENTY. The whole bisexuality thing was a phase and a publicity stunt; at least he had the courage to publicly question his sexuality at a time when such a thing was unthinkable.

The two-colored eyes are gorgeous. What does this have to do with the price of dildos in Iowa?

He actually had his "bad teeth" fixed in the early '90s. Get with the program.

And considering this man has pretty much done everything he's wanted to do, collaborated with everyone from Bing Crosby to Trent Reznor, co-starred in films with Dietrich and Denueve, pioneered the concept of online music websites, and even started his own BANK for a while...I could only dream of being so "hopeless".

Now go on down to the 7-11 and buy yourself a damn clue. You might want to invest in the extra-large size.

..As he should be...to some kind of people..

You know who you are!

Prince is a better writer and musician..

Bowie needed the 70's, Nile Rodgers, Drugs, and Iggi Pop, like "Major Tom" needs a hit..

Ooops...That's redundant...

Strange, but true:

David Bowie has appeared on BET to discuss his foundness of the music careers of Prince and TTT.

Bowie is really great, a "chamaleon", ""good at re-inventing himself", etc.

But I'm afraid he has yet to find his own way around the studio the way Prince seemed to be able to do from the very beginning (witness the Iggy Pop "Raw Power" debacle as a prime example of Bowie's mediocrity as a producer).

A key individual instrumental in Bowie's success goes by a not-so-well-known alias, and he should get more kudos than he does. His name?

Tony Visconti.
