Remember when the Bee Gees came out with their 1979 'Spirits Having Flown' album? This was their big follow-up to 'Saturday Night Fever' (let's forget their 1978 flop movie 'Sgt.Peppers'...lol).Did you like the songs "Tragedy" and "Too Much Heaven"?

Neither of those are disco songs, tho'. wink

And why didn't Love You Inside Out get a mention?

I didn't say they were disco songs,I just asked you what you thought about them wink

"Love You Inside Out" is a masterpiece!! A smooth, midtempo R&B classic.

Cool. Okay, what do I think about them?

Too Much Heaven is simply one of the most beautiful soul ballads that I have ever heard. Tragedy is a truly great single that borders on rock (something the Bee Gees don't attempt often) and I think your description for Love You Inside Out will suffice. Three great singles from one great album.

I also think "Search,Find" and "Living Together" could have been singles as well. The latter,in fact, received some radio airplay here in the States.

I'm not too fussed about Search Find. It's a little too repetative for my liking but Living Together is a great track. A rare falsetto lead from Robin. woot!

Spirits (having flown) was released as a single in the UK and reached no.16. One of my very faves of theirs as well.

Thinking about it, I'm surprised that 'I'm Satisfied' was never released as a single. That was quite an obvious candidate.

I love Sylvester and Patrick Cowley-styled disco but I think for the most part disco did indeed suck. Just compare Grace Jones' first disco albums (Fame, Muse) to her later Island records (Nightclubbing, Warm Leatherette).
Personally . I think we are all Boring with No Lives cause all we do is talk about Prince,Criticize and Gossip. I need a Horny Man is what I Need and probably so do most of yas. We are Sexually Frustrated what we R... Amen..!!! - zelaire
