Queen The band will be on "American Idol" this week, coaching performers and plugging their tour/live CD with Paul Rogers on vocals. There was a rumor last year that Queen was being tapped for a second installment of "Rockstar" - like INXS. Thank goodness that didn't happen! (I think Van Halen will be the new band looking for a selected singer!)
Anyway, what are people's thoughts about the AI gig and Paul Rogers on vocals? Do you think it's a permanent thing?

The cooperation may be continued for a while. It is rumoured that there will be a studio album by Queen and Paul Rodgers next.
I agree with Luv4u, it's not really Queen without Freddie.

Agreed...I saw them in Atlanta several weeks back and they did a fair job....but without Freddie it just isn't the same. If he were still alive there would be no need to reduce themselves to a reality TV show. I do believe it is cool, though, that some of the greatest artists of our time are willing to mentor the contestants of American Idol.... "Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries.
