I became a fan of Dannii Minogue with the release of her electro/dance album Neon Nights in 2003. I investigated the older stuff and felt that it was mostly crap, but was hopeful that she would continue along the lines of Neon Nights. In 2004, she claimed to be leaving her record company because they weren't going to release her new album until 2005. Well, it's 2006 and the only things she's bothered releasing have been singles for two half-baked mash-ups: "You Won't Forget About Me" and "Perfection". Now the news is that the "new" album will be a greatest hits release with 6 new songs. That's right: in 3 years of recording, all that she could come up with is 8 songs deemed worthy of release on an album.

"Perfection" finally grew on me, I think just because I was so anxious to hear some new material. Now it sounds like we are gonna get a re-hash of stuff we already have and I am bummed!!!!

Wasn't her new CD supposed to come out in February? Then it got delayed. I wonder if this is in any way connected to her sister's recovery. You know it is odd that we've not heard much about that, like how Kylie is doing.

Any speculations?

Maybe we should focus our anticipation of the new release from Scissor Sisters or something...

If she is only releasing a hits album after making us wait so long for a follow up to the stellar "Neon Nights", that does suck but I assume it's record company bullshit. Maybe she can't get anyone to release the album....Maybe it isn't done.

"Perfection" also grew on me and I liked "You Won't Forget Me" right away. I hope both those get released on this album.
