R&R, first off, welcome to the Org, but with all due respect . . .

Better than Prince and the Rev's version?

I know you're kidding, especially if you've heard PatR's 12" version.

Come on. This belongs on the Shrek 3 soundtrack.

It is entertaining and fun though.

I love the instrumentation alot, esp during the verses. It kind of brings back Prince's arrangement back to basic.

The voices don't work for me, though. Esp the satyrical scream just before that guitar solo.

But they're quite content to do lame cover versions.

Well, it's cute, but it has nothing on P's version. The guitar is cool, but overall the song is waaaay campy. Like namepeace said, I can totally see Shrek and Donkey dancing to this one.

Its hard to think anyone would enjoy this more that the original..

not to mention, the vocals are so... standard and dull

having said that.. He is tryin to identically copy his version... vocally and musically.. a big no no.. its already been done.. it doesnt need to be done by some blokes who are tryin to get popular by fronting on anothers artists style and song..

If u gonna remake a classic.. u better have a fresh idea involved.. this is sup par doo doo.

He has to be kidding. You can't be serious saying something like that here. disbelief Even if you believed it, do you think anyone is gonna agree? Not the best way to market a Prince cover to Prince fans. disbelief
