I know that many of you dont dig them, some of you compare them to the Spice Girls (though i dont see how) Nicole has more talent than that whole group combined (not just because im an old friend of hers).

But after the Release of 3 singles the DOLLS are set to release easily the best song on the album "BUTTONS". I saw them perform this song back in 2004 in a little club, this was long before DONT CHA, and i know that this song had to be a hit, at least a club hit, it has this Sleazy/dirty Vanity 6 feel to it. I hear they are doing remixes too for the song and have wrapped a video for it too. Depending on the success of this song there is already a 5th single in the wings "Wait a Minute"

It looks like the lead singer and the black girl can sing a little bit, by pop standards. But for the "disposa-pop" world I can understand their appeal: they've got the girl-power comraderie thing going on like the Spice Girls to make them palatable, their musical arragements remind me of Vanity 6, to give them a sexy, edgy, quality, but are also very radio friendly for the current market. They're good dancers and they smile a lot. They're kinda like a perfect pop confection, although they probably won't last for more than 2 albums as a group (which is usually the case for these kinds of groups)
